As I sifted through some old photos, I couldn’t help but notice how much fitter I used to be. The pandemic and the shift to working from home haven’t exactly been kind to my fitness levels.
Over the years, I’ve managed to stay reasonably fit, but whenever work gets crazy or life throws a curveball, I’ve taken breaks from swimming and riding—sometimes for six months, sometimes for a year. Usually, I bounce back after a few weeks of easing into it.
However, the past three years have been different. I’ve put on more weight than ever and have been more sedentary than I care to admit.
This year, I’m determined to turn things around. My goal is to get fit and healthy again, starting with daily movement.
This morning, I snapped a photo of some kids and dads walking along the beach. Their big smiles and boundless energy were contagious, and it made me smile to see them heading my way.
